The Kingdom of God’s Definition of “Uncomfortable” and “Truth”
Uncomfortable – The flesh being at war with the spirit; to fight against; to not stop attacking by any means; to make uneasy for a vessel of the Lord. harsh.
Truth – Yeshua (Jesus) “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:16
I find it interesting that even the world’s definition for truth has God in it, which should be made clear to those that don’t believe – that God is real, you know? The world works so hard to remove God out of everything but in the end, whether they want to believe or not, they still put His name in their source of information. Just a thought, but anyway…
The uncomfortable truth concerning all of us that have surrendered to God is that it’s not easy to hear things about ourselves that are not so great. But the good news is that we all have been given freedom by our Father to come up from under our pasts and the heaviness of condemnation that the enemy loves to keep making us remember.
As we continue to surrender and press into God’s purpose for us, we will undoubtedly be strongly accused by our adversary about our past, present, and future. The ultimate goal of the accusation is to misalign and condemn God’s people – to take us backward as the Father is moving us forward.
Instead of being a ping pong ball and allowing the enemy to bounce me back and forth, I find it easier to take the attack of accusation and release it to God, leaving it there. I am reminded of how much God loves and fights for me. He will never leave and has me covered.
We must take the laundry list of accusations, whether they be true or not, and shred them to pieces with repentance and a lifestyle of non-stop conversation between us and our Father – face to face and heart to heart.
Let’s face it. If we are not honest, we are liars. If we use sympathy to get our way, then we are manipulators. If we tear people down with our mouths, then we are slanderers. If we think our way is best and refuse to see anything else, then we are prideful. If we want to be seen while doing things for others, then we are religious; and the list goes on and on.
Although these are accusations that Satan can use against us, we don’t ever want them to be true in any way. Our true identity is found in Jesus. If I’m truthful, absolutely none of us are exempt from anything on this list, but the wonder and amazement come when our loving Father chooses to forgive us and positions us with Him. Yes, He is our resting place – forever and ever!
He makes it possible for us to leave the old behind, and step into the new, for what’s coming ahead. I am so thankful for His grace and mercy that He has over us. I’m thankful for the opportunity to make Him proud as we keep emptying ourselves and turning to Him, so He can fill us up with His presence.
Let’s not ever give the enemy any openings or ammunition to hold against us! As long as we keep fighting to surrender, we will be united together by God as one – to bring great change to this world.
WE FIGHT AND UNITE
SB
Father God,
Enough is enough. We have to stop. I ask that you continue to purify our hearts from any accusations found in us so we don't fall and become separated from you. Abba, we realize that we cannot do it within ourselves, but that we have to surrender it to you wholeheartedly and freely, and trust that you will remove it.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.
