COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS UP!

The first thing I think of when I hear this phrase is a police officer shouting it to a person that is in trouble with the law. It's the classic expression on our favorite “law and order” shows.

The priceless gift of receiving revelation from God is something for us to cherish. As He speaks to us, we get so many valuable lessons that can literally save our lives.

The art of surrender is a painted canvas with our two hands stretched up and out towards God expressing, “I Surrender! There is nothing in my hands. My hands are empty. I'm not holding on to anything anymore God. I give everything that I have ever carried over to you!”

As I see this illustration on the canvas, I hear the lyrics of “Withholding Nothing:”

“I surrender all to you.

Everything I give to you.

Withholding nothing.

Withholding nothing.

Lord we surrender.

Yes, we surrender.

Withholding nothing.

I give you all of me.

King Jesus.

My Savior.

Forever.

I give you all of me.”

The Father wants us to let go. It may seem like such a tremendous and hard thing to do but, holding onto what's in your hands can destroy you. I have come to realize that it's just not worth it. I won't ever gain anything from doing that. I will only lose out on everything that God already sent His son to do for me.

This hands-up exchange has brought me such peace and joy in my life – especially in the storms. It's the only way to obtain what God intended for me to fully have, which is Him. I know that everything in my life, my family, my gifts and talents, my business has been cultivated, grown, developed and restored from the richness of the chambers of the Father's heart for me. He simply loves us, and that's all there is. His plans for us will always be what's best for us, and we will NEVER be without.

OUR HANDS ARE FILLED WHEN WE WITHHOLD NOTHING
