Why is it that the most influential house in the earth realm can end up being the most destructive place to all mankind?

Yeshua (Jesus) always kept compassion in His arsenal when speaking to the religious leaders.

“Healthy people don’t need a doctor-sick people do.” Then He added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come not to call those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Matthew 9:12-13 NLT

He was always patient to explain and give parables, stories, and demonstrations to help them understand the importance of surrendering to salvation and obtaining access to the Kingdom of God.

It was only after many attempts of speaking to them with compassion that Jesus got stern because of their unwillingness to surrender to the invitation. Whenever Jesus was harsh with them, it was because they were operating in the spirit of religion.

It’s interesting that the very thing that we, the church, should be stern about – keeping a daily check of our hearts – we are not. This is, unfortunately, because the spirit of religion has taken up residence in the church. Why would it check itself?

Instead of doing that, it chooses to rebuke God’s people and ‘wreck’ them in such a debilitating way because that spirit carries no compassion. It operates in rebellion, humiliation, pride, and unaccountability – exactly like the religious leaders from times before. It carries a microphone to tell you how much it loves the Lord, but it fails miserably to show that love to all creation.

Until the church surrenders its nasty ways to God and embraces His Spirit, people will keep turning away from it, because they have been co’wreck’ted. People with mean, nasty, and unloving spirits don’t take the opportunity to love, encourage, deliver, and set free precious souls through the Power of God. Instead, the spirit of religion causes people to flee and find the wicked world as their nurturer because they have been “church hurt.” This is so sad, but unfortunately very true.

The Father always shows compassion, even in His correction. His correction is His Love for us. His Love is always seen and felt through His words and actions. Sadly for some of us, our detriment has come from not ever encountering the Love of the Father’s Heart, because sadly some institutions are completely void of the Spirit of God.

It’s time to rebuild these wrecked houses before they get destroyed! Our Creator has so much compassion for us that He allows us chances to start again and again. At our worst, His hand is always reaching out for us. It does not matter who we are or what title we carry. (The Father is not impressed by that anyway.) His unconditional love for us never wavers because of who we are or what we’ve done.

So, I encourage you today to repent, surrender, and move forward with the Spirit of the Living God dwelling in you and never look back! Let’s rejoice and be used for the Glory of the Kingdom of God and let us stop “wrecking” the place before GOD comes and “WRECKS” THE PLACE!
