Foundation - The lowest load-bearing part of a building below ground level, the footing, the base or understructure of something. It is also the underlying basis or principle, the starting point, the main ingredient, the core, the cornerstone, the heart, the essence, the groundwork upon which everything can stand upon.

By now, if you have chosen to fall into the flow of this journey as the Father’s Surrendered Bride, (or should I say Surrendering Bride, right? because we empty ourselves daily), then this definition of foundation definitely will apply to you. In order to embark upon what we have been created for by the Father’s hands, we must have a foundation. It is where everything begins. We can’t just start in mid-air; we have to be first grounded so we can be built upon by our Father.

First things first, the foundation of us required by the Father is very simple. We must first accept Jesus as Lord of our lives and choose to follow Him.

Jesus explained, “I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know me is to know my Father too. John 14:6 TPT

After asking and committing to this first, then our story begins! Our new houses begin to be constructed by the hand of God. Our old buildings get torn down starting with the foundation we have built ourselves. The foundation that we thought was solid and stable according to what we have believed and accepted as being right – our thoughts, actions, emotions, traditions, our laws, in other words, our own religion.

Religion is nothing more than what we deem to be acceptable and holy to God by what we do, our traditions that we somehow tie to God’s Word to feel good about what we do in our lives. It has never had anything to do with God, but somehow we manage, MAN age: (think like man in this world) to believe we are in order with what we believe is good and holy unto God. We are so religious! Religion has NOTHING to do with God! A relationship on the other hand has everything to do with God. When we choose to accept the Father into our lives and be led by Him, then the relationship can begin, and the old foundation created by us can be torn down only by God.

It makes sense that if God is the Master Architect that builds, He surely is the only one that can tear down. This means us getting in the way of progress and trying to do it ourselves is a waste of time. This is where absolute surrender comes into play. Speaking to the Father and letting that be all we do and somehow trusting what we ask of Him can be really hard for us because we are so used to doing things for ourselves.

I remember when I first started this journey of surrendering, the Father gave me a vision of all the houses on my street including mine, and how nicely they were placed and built from the ground up. He then began to show me the owners inside each one of them, and all the rules and beliefs that each person had. Everyone was content, comfortable, used to what they had built and believed in. Some of them had their own happiness, some were troubled, riddled with problems, some saddened. Yet when each owner would come outside you would never know what was on the inside because all of us know how to project something differently outwardly than what is really going on inwardly.

I then began to see all of them being destroyed, especially mine, and what that would look like if all had been torn down only to be built up again. I then saw there was a banner that said:” As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.”

After seeing and hearing that scripture for so many years, it had new meaning this time. This time it meant that because of the journey of surrendering I had chosen to embark upon with God that it could not just be something I said anymore. It meant that if it was to be true then I had to be willing to allow for the Father’s Hands to be the architect of the building that I was to dwell in.

After all, He is Holy, so in order for me to come into everything that is Holy; my foundation upon which I had built had to be torn down so the new foundation could be Holy as He is. By the way, the Father cannot build upon anything that is not His.

This tearing down of the old foundation, the old building, can be the hardest thing you have ever allowed and ever done in your life. The reason being is because everything you have ever known it to be is going to be taken away from you and you will at first not know how to be in it. I don’t want to discourage you in this but I have to be real with you. You will not like how this feels but……….. if you can make up in your mind and take on the Pitbull mechanism and NOT LET GO no matter what, you are in for the TIME OF YOUR LIFE!

Everything is going to be made new in the best way that you could have ever imagined. I am so touched by this moment because I can only reflect back and remember what it was like for me and I wish I could be there to hug you and never let you go until you get through it, but you now have the greatest of arms around you now!

Our Father is with you and so proud of you because of this! Through the tears, I am so honored of the Lord to bring this to you. I feel so blessed to bring this new idea of Freedom to you if you choose to take it. If you do and hold on, it will be soooooooo worth it!

The Father is going to take hold of you in a new way to let you know He is there and not going anywhere. You will feel His presence! You are covered completely by the Blood of Jesus in your choice to surrender all during this time of Transformation. Steal away with our Father and give all of yourself to Him. Let Him know that you want to be everything you were created for and to teach you what that is and what that looks like. He will speak to your heart. Cry out to Him! Ask for forgiveness! Lay before Him! It’s time!

I love you so much and I am praying for you and with you through this journey in your life!

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened (by religious rituals that provide no peace), and I will give you rest (refreshing your souls with salvation). Matthew 11:28 AMP
